I'm glad you're keeping up with it. Having just finished my term paper (sans some final edits, of course) I've started reading The Hobbit in earnest (I started last night and I'm already halfway through), and that really makes me want to write, so I feel where you're comming from on that one.
But keep it up, I'd be happy to read it at any point, and from my experiance, if you find yourself stumbling on some scene, move on to something else, and put them in order later, you don't need to write things from start to finish, that jsut makes it harder than it needs to be.
Oh, and go read this, it's not very long but it is very helpful.
