That was just utterly amazing, words are failing me now as I try to articulate my awe at your amazingly detailed historical facts and research. And the plot, and the imagery and the characters. Poland especially, of course. How you made him so hard and tough? Excellent stuff that you don't see everywhere. Giving him a reason for all the cross-dressing was wonderful as well, not to mention wonderfully presented. I loved every moment of reading this, you did a fantastic job.

Poland is, by nature, a tough guy. He definitely deserves more love and with such a rich and complex history he has a deep and multi-layered personality that few writers delve into.

Wow. I got some serious whiplash here.

Your writing can be very beautifully horrible at times - I'll know who to thank for my nightmares tonight ^_- - but other times, there's a little editing that could have been done.

I noticed in Part 1 you often had Jadwiga and Poland talk in the same paragraph. Every new speaker should have a new paragraph. Also, I don't think the final chapter, with the random sex and Lithuania's nightmares was really needed . . . I think it detracted from the story as a whole.

Still, I love the Poland you showed in this fic, and you did an excellent job of research. One of my favorite fics, by far!

Thanks for the corrections, seriously. I'll keep them in mind. Regarding the separate paragraphs per dialogue, some ended that way because of the sheer size of the entry and otherwise lj would not allow it to be posted @_@;;.

And on the final part... the prompter wanted her smut, I simply delivered. And maybe I overdid it, yes, with Liet's nightmares but I wanted to justify just why he could perhaps be the one fit to console Poland and to truly understand him in a deeper by associating his own lover's experience with his own hardships ('cause, after all, the prompt was originally about both Poland and Lithuania;; ).
