p.s. 1500 people dying because of guns is still one completely unnecessary 9/11 every year

Well yeah, we can bend numbers to do whatever we want. Guns may suck, but so do other unessential but legal things that kill lots of people but try to hide how dangerous they really are, like cigarettes, fast food, alcohol, and sports cars. I looked up the number of murders in the US, it was 16000 in 2004, not all were by guns. Number of deaths in car accidents was about 42000. But I guess we can't really draw a fair comparison ( ... )
