Something to Think About

I'm home for the weekend and it feels pretty good. I haven't been back since the semester started. I've missed my parents. Michelle and I came home together. She went to California with her family and is going back to Flag on Monday. okay, i swear i am not trying to be rude. but did you post this because you agree or because you find it hilarious/appalling. really not trying to be offensive, i'm genuinely confused.

Haha, don't worry dear, I just put that line there as a disclaimer. My opinion usually differ a lot from most of my friends, but I don't mind. I don't find it hilarious, nor do I completely agree because it uses the kind of attention grabbing arguement style that I've never liked. What I do agree with is that many people have an extremely uninformed view of the war because of the bias of mass media. Also, the ratings grabbing way that they forecast "the world as we know it coming to an end" and scrutinize every up and down of the conflict is terrible. I don't argue anymore about why we went to war in the first place since no amount of debate can turn back time. The fact that public opinion of the war has become SO low that politicians actually question whether or not to send reinforcements to secure a situation where our own soldiers are constantly at risk is flat-out terrible. Politicians can argue all day about whether or not our forces should have been sent to Iraq, but to have them there and publicly state that they don't ( ... )
