I'm home for the weekend.  Last night we had another fire alarm early in the morning as I already mentioned, so I kind of slept through my classes this morning, oh well.  Better that than driving home on 3 hours of sleep.  It's nice to be home.

This was a loooooong week. Three tests, two of which didn't exactly go as well as I'd hoped, and a stupid essay. The weekend so far has been really good. Last night I was at the observatory operating the 24-inch reflector with the astronomy club. The telescope has to be moved by hand and weighes three tons! So much fun though. It is 5:06 in the morning. We just had a fire alarm. It is 44 degrees outside, and I want to kill the person who left the kitchen oven on downstairs an hour ago. I'm going back to bed now. That is all.

Pluto, as many of you know, is no longer considered a planet by the International Astronomical Union. It is now classified as a "dwarf planet". This has nothing to do with Pluto not having the proper makeup of a planet, but rather that it is not in the elliptical plane and that it crosses Neptune's orbit.
