if the words "lush tapestry" are used to describe a songwriter's album... would you go see the show? y/n

(i haven't even pressed play yet on this page... i guess that those words kinda stopped me in my tracks)

Definitely less likely to.

And couldn't get through the first clip on that page.

yeah, the ad i randomly saw at the music college for this show last nite seemed classy and cool, but the "tapestry" did make me shudder. i tried listening to the music, but i had to have it on low (being at work and everything) so i couldn't quite judge the lushness factor of the tapestry. ah well, missed the show anyway. i was just curious is the combination of those words would be a draw or a deterrent for my selected audience ;)

Only if the show also includes a live weaver.

well, that was the thing - upon reading those words, the "old-school me" commenced ralphing, while the more mature-tasted and soundscape-friendly me wondered if tapestry was something i wanted to sample tonight. so.. good PR, bad PR? different strokes, i guess, like you said.
maybe, i would prefer no PR. his page, despite being agreeable in presentation in tone, was way too polished.

It would depend on how much it cost to go see the show, location, time, etc. But if all those factors were favorable, then heck yeah I'd go see it!

well, it was free, in a cute cafe and right next to campus; however, it did compete directly with turbo kickboxing. turbo won. oh well, another day, another rich tapestry. ;)
