I have heard a rumor that some citizens, demihumans or otherwise, of both Ivona and Vohemar have been purposely soiling their dairy products in retaliation to the recent registration laws ( Read more... )

trying to be helpful, say good-bye to your milk, demihumans revolt, healthy foods = happiness

You...

Never mind. It's times like this I'm very grateful I do not actually require food.

If that's true, and I have no reason to doubt you, then you are truly amazing, Nikolas! I have never heard of something like this before. Even my employer has to eat sometimes.

Oh! She would be delighted to hear about this! Well, perhaps she already knows. She does seem to be a fan of yours, and this might explain why. She has always been interested in rare human traits.

...well, I'm not sure I could really forgo it indefinitely, but it seems my body is quite capable of functioning on energy alone, so long as it's available. And of course, I do enjoy a well-prepared meal. It's not strictly necessary though, no.

Well, then this will not be a bother for you at all!

If I may ask, though, what other ways do you have of getting energy if not through food?

I am very much not in the mood to be hearing about Demihuman scares right now.

I did not mean to cause you any further annoyance, but to do my part in alleviating some of it. I wanted to act quickly before any of our crew members hurt themselves, so I'm sorry if it was outside my duties. I will be doing all I can to help the situation.

I hope to find you in a better mood soon, Captain.

You....you got rid of the ice cream?!

Not you too, Toshirou. The ice cream will be back soon enough, there's no need to panic.

In fact, I've mentioned before that I was concerned about your eating habits, so maybe this will be a fresh new start for you! So many sweets can be bad for your health, and also affect your growth, you know.

Don't sound so upset. With all these healthy vegetables being added to your diet, you might actually grow tall enough to finally see over the ship's steering wheel. It'll be so nice to have a helmsman who can actually see where he's going.

You did what?

It doesn't make much difference to me, but you can't just go around believing every rumour you hear, you know?

I've been fearing that something like this would be coming. I believe that the rumor does have some basis because of the recent registration laws, and I wouldn't have done this otherwise. No, actually, I probably would have anyway.

You're not a milk-drinker either? Or, are you someone who doesn't eat at all?

It seems an extremely random act of protest, though. I'd have thought we'd see some more normal reactions before poisoned milk.

Well, I don't have anything against milk, but...I'm not a cat. And no, I like to eat~

I don't agree with what they are doing, if they are indeed doing it, but it doesn't seem too abnormal a reaction to me. They are going to use what they have to get the government's attention.

I'm not a cat either, and I like milk! I hope you're getting your calcium through some other source if not through dairy products.

I...see. Although, if something like this should occur again, it'd be preferrable if you could alert the cook beforehand. However, that isn't to say that I don't appreciate it. It's very kind of you to care for our well-beings, Chichiri. Thank you.

I couldn't find him, so I had to act quickly. I know I probably made a few people mad, but I was prepared to deal with that when I went through with this.

I'm always happy to help, Tear! You're very welcome.
