Wow. This is awesome! I like the fact that, despite the different choices Phoenix made, he still ends up in the right place at the right time. It gives a wonderful sense of completion.

Yeah, that was why the idea struck me so hard. Just the idea that things like that are predetermined. I've always liked it when AU stories hit a lot of the same kinds of important events.
