This is being instantly added to my favorites list, it's just gorgeous. I love the bitter irony of comparing Phantom's story to that of Cupid and Psyche; the coin could go either way as to which character is parallel to which. Erik's story is very similar Cupid's in his sudden total devotion to Christine, and her betrayal unmasking and running from him. But he's also the one desperately needing her acceptance and forgiveness, while there's the question of Christine needing to have strength to overcome the trial in front of her. It makes sense either way, but is still somewhat ambiguous, I think it's brilliant! And as heartbreaking as this story is, there's something just slightly hopeful left in the end, and I love that. :)

Poor Erik, he needs a cuddle =P

This is so awesome. Eros and Psyche has always been my favourite greek story, and this mirrored it well(: Brava! :D
