Xatu
The mystic pokemon
Xatu is, to put it bluntly, Will's baby. She was his first pokemon ever as a Natu, and remains his most powerful and loyal ally. Xatu went through the whole Neo-Team-Rocket ordeal with Will and knows him better than anyone else in the world. She knows his ins and outs, his complexity and his giggles, and she remains utterly devoted to him. Funnily enough, Xatu seems to be Will's utter opposite- she's patient, wise, quiet, and still. At times, it's hard to tell who is really taking care of whom, as Xatu keeps him out of trouble and pretty much acts as his surrogate mother.
Type: Flying / Psychic
Gender: Female
Ability: Early Bird- wakes up early from sleep-induced status
Nature: Quiet- +SpA -Spd
Attacks: Gen IV Learnset. TM/HMs are Shadow Ball, Fly, Calm Mind.
Strategy: Will is kind of a douche when it comes to battling with Xatu. He utilizes 'underhanded' moves often, such as Wish, Confuse Ray, and Psycho Shift- focusing more on altering the status of the battle than about dealing damage. When he does care about doing damage (ie: when the battle is as much in his favor as it can be), Will generally resorts to Special Attack oriented moves- mainly Psychic and Shadow Ball.
Sidenote: Xatu utilizes Wish often, so I've made a few rules on it. Each Wish takes about five minutes to come true. When it does come true, it can heal light wounds, or heavier wounds in stages (ie: using Wish once to heal a broken bone, using it again to seal up the skin). Wish can heal other pokemon, even if Xatu is still outside of her pokeball (for example, if Lance and Will weren't battling, but Dragonite was somehow hurt, Xatu could use Wish heal that in a few minutes). However, Wish is only applicable to Pokemon- Xatu cannot heal Will if he gets injured. And finally, Wish cannot bring back body parts or restore lost blood- it simply knits the wound together. If you just lost an arm, Wish can give you a stump, but it won't give your arm back unless you were physically holding the arm to your shoulder or whatever.
Sidenote 2: Outside of battle, Xatu utilizes Teleport quite often. However, like the games, she can only Teleport somewhere she's been previously with Will (hence why they weren't able to teleport to the clinic when Will was hurt). She usually only does this with Will's permission, but if she forsees him dying or being greviously hurt, Xatu will teleport him out of harm's way as fast as she physically can. Which brings me to...
Sidenote 3: Foresight. Xatu are pretty much the pokemon of the future, man. They're fabled to see constantly into the future and into the past. Because canon doesn't specify and I don't want to godmode, Xatu is only able to see into her own future and past. Because of her attachment with Will, she can also see his future and past, but it's not quite as clear as hers and she's liable to make mistakes. Also, this foresight is never definite- it can be changed, altered by actions and decisions. For example, Will's fight with Madara. As he was fighting, Xatu forsaw his death. So she teleported him out of there before he could be killed. As a result, Will lived and her foresight changed to see him in the clinic, happily arguing with Lucian. And finally, due to the weird spiritual powers that be around Ads, her sight is fuzzier than ever, so she doesn't see some things coming. Baw.
Slowbro
The hermit crab pokemon
Remember, early on in-game, when Team Rocket were cutting of Slowpoketails and selling them for cash? And a few TR members had captured Slowpoke for laughs? Yeah. Will was one of them. Thankfully though, his Slowpoke's tail remained intact, and he's taken the derpalicious dinosaur with him everywhere since. Will's Slowbro is... well, slow. While it's a little faster than the average Slowbro, it's still no Stantler. Slowbro is so slow that, when everyone else's second pokemon came for a Christmas present, Slowbro didn't manage to traverse the alternate realities until New Year's. Despite that, Slowbro is one of Will's favorite pokemon because it's always happy. Always. It just. Sits there. Being happy. It's also ridiculously fun to cuddle.

Gender: Female
Ability: Own Tempo- prevents confusion
Nature: Relaxed- +Def, - Spd
Attacks: Gen IV learnset. TM/HMs: Surf, Ice Beam. Also knows Body Slam
Strategy: Slowbro isn't getting any faster, and Will realizes this. But what it lacks in speed, it makes up in defense and power. While it does know moves like Body Slam and Zen Headbutt, Slowbro generally makes use of special attacks- Surf, Psychic, Ice Beam and the like, since Slowbro doesn't have to actually catch the other pokemon in order to do damage. While the opponent is dancing around it, Slowbro just sort of relaxes and uses moves like Slack off to heal damage, Curse and Amnesia to up it's defense, and generally chills out until Will takes the offense.
