Registration opens at 4:00 PM, but I was able to get my badge early. Most of the day I've spent "setting up" Ops, which I've either done completely incorrectly, or it really is not all that labor intensive. All I really did was take the boxes out of storage, move them to the Ops area, and take some things out of the boxes.
I then spent some time working on posting signs with J. & B. Even prior to 2:00 PM, people were wandering up to Ops, so I tried to keep an ear to the ground there as well, and decided just to stay put there starting around 1:30 PM, since people were dropping off sign-up sheets.
I've procured my first ribbon through making a donation to the AIDS walk in September.
The first event I don't want to miss isn't until 6:00 PM, so I have some time to kill until then. Most immediately: trying to find the person with the Brazilian Beef tickets. Ops keeps having to tell people to come back later, since they & the seed money haven't been dropped off yet. *hmph* I've been spectacularly unsuccessful in locating the person who should have the tickets though. I'm keeping an eye out my window in case he passes by as I'm writing this, but so far, no luck.
