Thanks! If you're referring to the arm, yeah, I only caught that after the piece was colored and spent an hour arguing with it and trying to force it into a less awkward position. (If you're talking about something else, I'm curious to know what, because the rest of it looks fine to me but I'm always open to critique.)
Where John is sitting doesn't make sense, where would his legs go? And it looks like he's sitting on Sherlock belly because of the way Sherlock is slouching, the way they're sitting just looks uncomfortable.
Meant to also say: Yeah, there's some room for improvement (Sherlock's arm still doesn't twig as correct to me, John's shoulders are too squared, the tub's positioned wrong, there's something off about Sherlock's face that I can't quite place, glass bricks don't actually diffuse light in such stark squares, among other things). It was a difficult piece, I am by no means an expert, and the next time I try something like this, I'll be paying more attention to what the visible parts say about the parts that are hidden. :)
Also: apologies for being rambly. I'm really interested in body language right now.
and, maybe being an artist - but I totally got the body language and thought the pose was great, so don't let the complainer above stop you from doing more wonderful pieces. Also, I've seen some of the huge tubs in fancy homes - you could throw a party for 5 in some of them.
Well, thanks! I'm glad I'm not completely full of shit. *laughs*
The person above did sort of trigger an "Is that a CHALLENGE?" reaction in me, and now I've got pages of cuddly poses up on my tumblr because I started for practice and then couldn't seem to stop. S'all good.
