Voting in your country is very simple. If you are pro-choice, support LGBT rights, etc, then you generally vote Democrat. If you believe in the death penalty, are pro-life, and do not support LGBT marriage or rights, then you generally vote Republican. And if you're totally delusional, then you vote for Nader (most of the people who would like to vote for him generally realize that it's a waste of a vote and vote Democrat instead, as it's the closest thing). I only really watch the presidential stuff because I'm into politics; you don't really need to watch more than a couple to decide who to vote for. And if you want to do some in-depth, then you generally screw all notions of having a politician with a good character; it doesn't even matter (it seriously has nothing to do with anything. As long as they don't torture anyone and are not racist and stuff, it seriously does not matter as long as it doesn't affect foreign relations) and those are, like, impossible to find anymore except in Norway. Obama seems like the closest candidate

Well see, this is where we differ on opinions. I don't think it's all that simple. My parents voted for Bush in the last election, and they'll probably vote for Obama this one. They've voted almost equally Democratic and Republican. My mother's opinion is that we need both to keep us balanced, and she feels like she's never really voting 'for' someone, but choosing the lesser of two evils, really. Because she's somewhere in between.
I have no opinion of gay marriage rights. Mostly because I have no personal experience with the situation, I don't know any gays, and it's never been a discussed issue in my life thus far. So that won't sway me one way or the other.
Ah...I could be insulted when you offhandedly call me naive, but I'm not really. Because I know I am naive in some ways. But I still think that your personal life and habits have a LOT to do with your professional life. I mean, your morals come from personal beliefs, and those effect your choices. *shrug* Ah, well.
Oh, gosh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to call you naive; I sort of disagree with the political analysts about it being naive since it's human nature, but I do agree that you shouldn't judge based on character, but rather whether you think they're going to bolster the economy and such. Bill Clinton wasn't too big on morals, but he did a fantastic job with foreign relations and the economy and everyone benefited.
BTW for you personally I think Democrat would be a better choice, since Democrats generally believe in more free education and welfare and stuff, and from what I've read about you and your family, that would be beneficial to you. Not to be biased or whatever.
Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree for now, although I really do recommend researching more about your political system. Like I said, just ask me if you have questions.
Haha...I don't think you really did. I was half-sarcastic there, to be honest. It's just what you said kind of suited my way of mind, almost. I don't judge solely on character, because that would be silly of me. But actions speak louder than words, so I don't really care what they're promising - empty promises, most of them are - and so while I'm listening to a speech I'm paying close attention to body language, hearing what people say about them(with a grain of salt, personal opinion is in the end what effects ME), and such
( ... )
Aw....feel the love, GG! It's just that music reminded me of her, is all. XD I'll give you recommendations next post. This one was really rushed and shortened, to be honest. LOL
ANYWAY. I do remember SOME tricks in math... and Jordan is fantastic with it, since, you know, he's in calculus three now or something insane like that. O.o So let me know if I can weasel some wisdom out of him for you. ^.^
