That's what I don't get about MLPs, the artwork isn't much and their voices are still annoying I just don't get it.

For me, it was that the ponies have personalities that feel "real" to me. They may be magical ponies, but they act a lot like normal young girls would.

That, and most episodes actually have the kind of life-lesson that I really approve of. It's a cute show that's actually got smart, strong feminine role-models for young girls.

Plus, it has some great humor bits that are funnier for adults than for kids. Like throwing in a Benny Hill chase scene. n.n
