It appears the dreams broadcast are continuing to reflect the weather, then - in their erraticness, if nothing else. Perhaps that's supposed to be the other way around.

[Schneizel looks to be seated at a desk. From the camera angle, one can see his face, his small, pensive smile, but also the tabletop. A chessboard sits atop it, the pieces ( Read more... )

Perhaps we might challenge each other, then.

That could be a lot of fun.

I never thought of it like that. But there are a lot of strange dreams happening lately, aren't there?

Nunnally. [He smiles in greeting, then turns more thoughtful.]

Dreams might be ridiculous at times, ut here they always tended to lean to a more serious side. Now, however…

I've noticed it too. But can the weather really influence dreams like that?

Difficult to say. If anything, given the apparent nature of our setting... it may very well be the other way around.

Erratic...dreams? Is it always like this when the weather's kinda weird?

[SHE WILL BUG YOU ABOUT CHESS LATER.]

I wouldn’t know, given my experience of this place. But before and during that sudden flood, many dreams seemed to have a running theme of water - and many were nightmares. Now that the weather has taken a turn for the unpredictable, the dreams have turned far more… fantastical. [CRACKY.]

Wow, the dreams are even more connected to Somarium than I thought...

It may be that we’re made more aware of that in time, if it is the case. I don’t want to assume anything, but the reflection between dreams and the reality we experience is… striking.

I don't think dreams really have rules or anything. You dream what you dream.

[But, oh, chess, it's been forever!]

I can play wizarding chess - same rules as Muggle chess but...it's more violent and interesting.

Certainly, but there does seem to be something of a running theme. Not all fit the curve, but most...

[He smiles, intrigued. 'Muggle' might be a term lost on him, but he assumes that must mean the type of chess he's familiar with.]

More violent? [what, do the pieces beat each other up and throw each other off the board?

oh.] If we're used to the same rules, at any rate, perhaps we could play a game.

Maybe it's just people dealing with it in their sleep or something. Like, if it's hot they dream about stuff to do with that.

[Ron beams because wizarding chess is the best thing ever.] The pieces beat each other up and stuff. [Yet more smiling; if he can't have Quidditch right now, he can at least have something else.] That'd be brilliant, I'm Ron by the way, Ron Weasley.

But it seems the dreams of water preceded the sudden rain, and the flood that followed.

[His eyebrows raise, his smile turning more bemused. There is a morbid sort of curiosity about this.] It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Schneizel.

Does this... wizarding chess require a special board, or is it done via another means?

It's truly interesting if I say so myself~ Though it's probably only a matter of time before it reflects something else, if the flood has taught us anything that is.

Very true. Perhaps in future we might be able to better predict what's coming, from them.
