♔ CLASS INFORMATION
Advanced Counter-MagicThis is an elective class. It comes under Defense Against the Dark Arts but focuses on a more specific aspect of that - namely, defensive magic itself. The focus will be on counter-spells. Counter-jinxes, counter-hexes, counter-charms - you get the picture. It's mostly focused on mitigation of damage. There are other things involved too, however, such as strengthening shield charms and trying to link all this together. DEFENSE SPELLS. FUN FUN FUN.
Most of the lessons will be practical, with a lot of demonstration from students. There's still some theory involved, and Schneizel will usually give at least one homework assignment a week. This is an advanced class, so things will be intensive. Anyone can attend, but really this class is for honing the abilities of already competent students. If your character would have concerns about this, they can feel free to come to Schneizel about it! He's up for helping outside of class work, because he's a nice guy like that.
