Bear or Cub

I posted this elsewhere but i wanted to hear some feedback on this. Am I a bear or a Cub?? I am 23 (Soon to be 24 on Aug 11 =D), a beefy/ stocky guy, with lots of hair. I have lots of hair on my chest, back, legs and even ass. Just a big furball! ;-) But some guys have told me i am a cub because of how young i am and others say i am a bear

I have to agree with the state-of-mind answer. I typically identify as a cub, even though I have been called a bear on occasion. Cubs tend to be very playful and friendly. I wouldn't say that I consider a bear to be less playful, but I think it takes on a whole different meaning for a bear who is playful. It's more about sex and/or posturing and less about just being playful for the sake of playing. There are a lot of articles on the net about the various distinctions. And the author of the Bear Handbook (look it up on Amazon) tries to give an answer too.

I personally believe that the only way one can make the classification--and guarantee that it is used correctly--is to see the subject in person. :-)
