This morning my dad called around, as I was about to make a cup of tea, so I made him a coffee as well and we sat outside in the sunshine and drank our drinks and he caught me up on all the things he's working on (he now has about 4/5 part-time jobs aha).

It was lovely and it makes me so grateful to be home and to be able to do that.

OMG a poisonous snake?????!!!!! Silly kitty and glad he's ok! I saw this insta video the other day that the reaction time of a cat is significantly faster than that of a snake, so there's that.

Very silly kitty! That's good to know they're quick... google also told me they don't succumb to bites as quickly as dogs, so hopefully I'd have time to get him to a vet if something did happen. But still... surely a survival instinct should tell them to leave the stripy snake alone!!

You know you’re getting old when the topic of vacuum cleaners excites you 😂 I really should invest in a Roomba but I feel like my kids would hijack it. No doubt James would turn it into a train and try to put carriages on the back of it and shit.

Oh my god its actually the best. My house is quite big and the cat brings in a lot of dirt obviously, and fur 🙄 and it does such a better job of cleaning than I do haha. I would never build a house with floorboards everywhere like I have now; they're pretty but they're such a pain to keep clean! I got it on sale with Amazon (obvs wouldn't lash out if it was full price haha) and so so worth it.
