Earlier this week, I was talking to Dave, who knew one of the victims of the Virginia Tech tragedy.  Honestly, I had been self absorbed and not been in contact with the outside or the details about the tragedy.  So while I was chatting with Dave and sharing in his pain, I browsed articles to learn more ( Read more... )

i must have been oblivious to the door-ripping incident, because i seem to have blocked out ken's violent side (though sarah reminded me of it, i think after talking to you). that said, um, yeah, i'm sure glad it never got worse than it did, because if anyone had the potential, it was him. eep.

Good post, and I agree with you on so many levels.

I sort of remember Ken...I remember him being odd and avoiding him. Now that you mention it I do remember you telling me about the door incident.

I've talked to Dave too, and I agree, at some point the media needs to back off and be respectful. I don't want to hear the screams, the shots, etc. We know more than enough to envision the terror ourselves. We don't need it broadcast 24/7.

And all of the materials he sent to the media? It just sickens me. I guess in a way he did get what he wanted. Attention.
