I had an accident.
The weather has the roads covered in that nice slushy snow, which isn't a fucking rarity here during the winter. You would think people would learn to not be assfountains and drive as if it were a normal, dry, sunny day. I'm on my way home from work going just under the speed limit, which was 35, and probably four car lengths behind someone. Suddenly, they slam on their brakes to turn into McDonald's. I didn't have maybe a second to respond, I turned my wheel to get into the next lane and not plow right into the fuck. I pulled a complete half-circle into the oncoming traffic. Personally, I didn't want to get creamed, so I drove onto the cur and into the school yard across from McDonald's. After I came to a stop, I pulled out back onto the road, turned on my hazards and spent a few minutes assessing any possible damage. I didn't see anything, so I shrugged it off, still a bit pissed at the stupidity of people. The Jeep drove home fine with no extra noise, pull, control issues.
The part that pisses me off the most about all of this is that the driver could have not slammed on his brakes and taken the second entrance to McDonald's instead of being completely reckless. I'm surprised that he didn't start sliding. He obviously deserved the shock, and any possible damage, more than I do.
