Just finished reading reviews on the Sci-Fi "Legends of Earthsea" series, and, finding out that Sci-Fi in its infinite wisdom royally screwed up the plot (gratutious acts of sex and violence? I have one adaptation in the works and another percolating in my brain! they are--
The Beans of Egypt, Maine by Carolyn Chute, which I am turning into a play. She is my penpal, Ms. Chute is, and a member of the Maine militia fighting against evil corporations.
Shadow Baby, by Alison McGhee, which I would love to turn into a film. This is the best book ever. I want to be Alison McGhee's penpal.
