(no subject)
From my dear friend itwillbespring, who's moving to the Bay area this fall: i am relocating to the bay area around august 20 2006 or so and am looking for housing starting september 1 (or a few days earlier). i can afford no more than $700 a month, which i know is ridiculous, but i'm starting grad school and will be on an equally ridiculous stipend. i would prefer a short commute to the uc berkeley campus (yay walking/biking/BART/buses) but either way need to be near public transportation because i will not have a car. i will probably be home a fair amount but i am pretty relaxed and quiet.
things you should know about me: i am starting my M.A/PhD in united states history. i love history! and i am sorry if you had a bad history teacher. i will make you love it, too. i like cooking, can live with vegans OR meatatarians, bake perfect bread, and listen to bluegrass, folk, and indie lady singers. i like my bike, tattoos, yoga, fresh fruit, and graph paper notebooks. i do not like loud parties, but i do like potlucks and drinking beer and beverages. i drink a lot of coffee and i'd like a porch to drink it on in the morning, but i think liberally about what porches are. i am exceptional in a crisis and a loyal friend. i am committed to cultivating a well-ordered life. sometimes i think i might be a hipster but i think i care too much about things.
