Still new things to findrose_in_shadowApril 10 2017, 21:29:26 UTC
So I finished my first playthrough fairly completionist with only a handful of items remaining in the "Additional Tasks" folder before I hit the last of the main plot points and the credits. It clocked in at about 110ish hours (I only thought to look yesterday after I've been playing post-game and it said 114 hours total).
But despite that, I still found three more additional task quests on Elaaden that I didn't know existed.
It makes me wonder if I've missed anything else on the other planets.

I felt like that about DAI. XD I'm not surprised there are similarities with MEA.
(Going to work on getting my new desk situation put together tonight so maybe I can get back to my second, 'completionist' playthrough to catch up on everything I missed out on in my speed run.)

I've given up on driving around Elaaden six more times to find these missing tasks. I've given in and started a new playthrough with Jin (Scott) Ryder. :D

Sigh. An unsubstantiated rumor and a vague tweet folks want to misinterpret are not confirmation. Just sayin' - Drew Karpyshyn (@DrewKarpyshyn) April 11, 2017
"Secret" Remnant console on Havarlrose_in_shadowApril 13 2017, 00:33:05 UTC
I just found this hidden console, but I've only gotten as far as the end of this video shows. It has to do something else. Anyone know what it is? I currently don't see a way to get to where the last console points.

It took me forever -- well basically, roaming the entire map trying to find a way up there over a couple of hours -- before realising that you just need to use the gravity well activator at the decoded console. Takes you right there.
So if you're up to the point they show in the video and you've taken the first lateral gravity well, you'll have noticed that as you arrive at that final platform (where you decode the console) there's another gravity well orb already there.
My initial assumption was that it was simply the go-back option like in the vaults until I realised that you only get that option after you touch down and that therefore all you need to do is activate the well orb to complete the journey.
But I've been thinking about what other potential DLC we might see and here are my ideas.
+ Habitat 7's broken vault - When you reach 100% viability across all the planets, they seem to make a point of saying that they're going ahead with Habitat 7's terraforming "the old fashioned way" (whatever that means). And then there's the load screen for the whole game, which I'm 99% sure is Habitat 7. Why have this planet feature so heavily in the game if we weren't going back to it at some point?
+ Primus showdown? This could also be moved to the second game, but it was an obvious set up for something.
+ When I went back to Meridian post game, I got a line from one of the new NPCs saying something about finding a lost kid. It seemed random and out of place, that I immediately thought it was a line tripped accidentally for a DLC, but I don't know for sure.

Like they did back in the Milky way. Adding water, seeding microorganisms that produce oxygen, etc etc. The process that takes centuries.
