This could be the new one. lol

I'm still in the middle of my second playthrough still having fun, though I'm not doing as many side quests this time around. I can't decide if I'm saving them for later, post-game clean up or I just want to skip. them.

Also, I've been thinking about what's coming down the road, and remembered this letter from Aaryn Flynn.

Over the next two months we’ll be rolling out additional patches which will go even deeper and look to improve several areas of the game ( ... )

The most obvious route for improving Scott's romantic options is making Jaal one of them given he's probably the most interesting character in Ryder's orbit.

Adding a bit more male nudity and replacing the fade-to-black wimp out wouldn't hurt either.

And spirits please let one of the cosmetic improvements be an option to wear the jacket without that ridiculous scarf (though I wouldn't say no to mission armour for Peebee and helmets for asari in general instead of just giving them face masks.

I wonder also if they might add a new romance for Scott in a DLC? I've heard murmurings on tumblr about that. Wishes, perhaps, but not out of the realm of possibility.

I am ALWAYS up for dress-up Ryder times. More outfits would be grand. :D

The key complaint regarding Scott's options ias that he can't gaymance a squad mate, so unless the DLC adds a bisexual male squadmate -- expanding Liam's or Jaa'ls preferences is easiest but an all new character maintains parity between the siblings -- it won't be addressing that core issue.

This is from a review I'm slowly putting together:

"Part of the DZ purchase reasoning was the ME3 multiplayer. I like the ME3P, both as an experience in itself and the way it was run with the weekend challenges with their banners -- I missed out on a couple of them and it pained me -- and the communityish vibe that was generated around it all. None of which I’m getting from the MEAMP. I mean, hell yes it’s integrated into the single player game much better and the game play is essentially the same although the objectives have been updated in an interesting fashion (that is certainly going to make soloing harder), and the maps are prettier and effects flashier and the jump-jet is the best thing since Starseige: Tribes first introduced it back at the end of the 90s. But I still prefer the experience of the previous game. "

Thanks to the APEX teams, I'm really not feeling the impetus to go into the multiplayer much if at all yet I can't help but feel this is a shame.

Multiplayer really clicked for me after I had a campaign playthrough under my belt. I'm also ashamed to admit the phone app hooked me way more than I expected it to; something about being able to set my loadout and take care of my strike teams while I'm taking care of something else before I actually play somehow makes me care about it a lot more.

I think part of the problem is that, as strong as ME3's multiplayer was, building on it does have a built-in "been there, done that" problem, especially if you were really attached to some of the old characters. I have my fingers crossed for a "makes no sense lore-wise but have it anyway" update that will give me back my Collector Adept. I want my Buzzy back :(

It probably doesn't help that this isn't the only game I play regularly by far (hard for anything else to compete with five hours of Killer Instinct a day,) but the more I actually play it, the more I enjoy it like I used to enjoy ME3MP.

Sorry, I sorta fell off the face of the earth the last few Fridays after my personal migration to Dreamwidth (and a mass move there being in limbo). :)

Hopefully I've taken steps to address my own inattention to LJ.

There is a quite dead ME group already on DW but the person running it isn't interested in ceding control.

I saw that both the ME and DA groups were dead; I've also become enamored of a general 'Bioware' community, anyway, so I'm not sure I'd want to migrate to it. As arielstarshadow pointed out a couple weeks ago, an umbrella group would allow the flexibility to incorporate the "secret IP" they're working on without being off-topic or feeling a need to create another new community for it.
