I think I want this!
I can totally imagine Garrus in the Citadel Tower, once he figures out things are repeating, thinking on all the ways he'll troll BroShep, all confident and stuff and then he turns around and sees a chick in the place of his best friend and just starts stuttering and then he looks at Kaidan and Ash to confirm that it's actually Shepard.
OH! And the conflict he feels, all the loyalty and the friendship BroShep conquered - which Garrus'll have to struggle to give to the woman in the palce of his friend - and then he'll start comparing maneirisms and stuff, and sometimes he'll feel really protective of her!

This prompt sent all kinds of scenes spinning through my head, so I'm going to take a stab at it. I hope you don't mind if I choose to focus mainly on one side of the universe swap (probably the Garrus/Femshep side, since I don't have much experience with Tali/Mshep), at least initially. I'm not sure I could take on writing two separate storylines and do them both justice! Any anons out there interested in collaborating by writing the other side of the story? (Parallel fics ftw. :D) If not, maybe once I'm done/almost done with the first storyline, I'll go back and write the second.

Yay!! I was actually starting to wonder whether or not it was a good idea, since it took quite some time for anyone to show interest here! I don't know if I'd be able to write the parallels, but if it's okay, I'd be happy to help with some insights...
Like: I was thinking about, the parallelism could be worked out in a continuity fashion, like: It's Garrus' part on the Citadel, they go on to recruit Wrex, take out Fist and set out to rescue Tali, then the PoV changes or something and we start seeing things in M!Shep reality... Huh.
Maybe I could give this a try, I haven't written anything M!Shep/Tali, yet... if this would be so, hwo would we do it?

Yeah! it's me again! I wouldn't mind at all if you decided to focus more in one side, than the other, though! I'm actually quite biased to F!Shep/Garrus... I'm not even sure anymore about previous Tali/Garrus before the swap...

Well, if you're more biased towards F!Shep/Garrus, then perhaps, at least for the moment, I'll focus on that. I may explore the other side later, as I said. :) I've made a start on it, but left the Garrus/Tali thing quite open, so it's totally fine if you would prefer it without. Just let me know. ^^

"Energy field expansion is accelerating. Twelve seconds to contact." EDI announced, her voice tense.
"Shit, shit, shit!" Joker's hands were moving with desperate energy now, almost too fast to follow. The glow of the Crucible beam lit the entire cockpit now, bathing them in colour. His heart sinking, Garrus gripped Tali's arm tightly, jerking his head towards one of the empty seats in the back of the cockpit as he tugged her towards it, trying to support her bad side while still moving quickly.
"Five seconds to contact." Garrus practically lifted Tali into the seat, leaving her to secure herself and turning to move towards his own seat with long, swift strides.
"Three, two-" Garrus gripped the back of his chair just as green light flared brightly, and stumbled as the entire ship shook. EDI's countdown was lost to the roaring in his ears, his vision going black as the world came apart around him.

O, A!A... You've got me really excited with what you're doing here!! I'm completelly envious now! Hell, I hate it that I always suck at starting things up... A zillion ideas for the middle of it, but I always feel like my beginnings are lacking something... Also no time at all to really dedicate myself to writing, If I had time I might've tried writing it instead of just prompting

I'm glad you like it so far. :D Honestly, most of the time I'm not that good at starting things either. I think that's always the hardest part. It's been a while since I had time to write, so hopefully I can get back into the swing of things quickly.
I'll see where things go with the Tali/Garrus thing once I get going. You make a good point about them romancing the Shepards, and I don't think either of them is the kind of character that would just move on without some contact/closure without feeling they're betraying each other. I may just go with making them good friends. As for Tali... I think I've decided to write some parts from her perspective in order to flesh out the concept and the personalities of both Sheps, where I feel it works. We'll see. ^^

Garrus awoke to the insistent beeping of his omni-tool alarm. Reacting automatically, he was sitting up, his hand raised to shut off the alarm, before his mind caught up with his body. As a sudden wave of memory washed over him, he froze, eyes darting around the room, as his visor quietly adjusted itself to allow him to see despite the darkness. He wasn't, as he had initially expected, on his cot in the main battery, nor was he in the cockpit, having been knocked out by the impact with the Crucible's beam. He was sitting on a bed-a turian-style bed-in an eerily familiar room

OP here! Oh, Spirits, A!A! I might just be in love with you!! Those were fucking incredible chapters!!! I liked the subtle way you stressed FemShep Paragonish behavior in Talis scene! And the fact that the F!Shep's reality EDI was a lot "human", unsure even, because of that...
About Garrus, I particularly enjoyed his theorizing, he's in for a big surprise... Use his memories to construct some kind of... of... hyper-realistic hallucination? Oh, A!A... more than hyper-realistic as it is... something bordering perfection - if you ignore the Reapers - as he'll actually find his other-half...
Yeah, I agree with you about Tali and Garrus not being the kind who would easily walk into a new relationships without closing up shop with their previous partners - while avoiding feeling guilty, at least. Honestly, I always found it easier to see them in a brotherly relationship than a romance.

I'll see where things go with the Tali/Garrus thing once I get going. You make a good point about them romancing the Shepards, and I don't think either of them is the kind of character that would just move on without some contact/closure without feeling they're betraying each other.
