Even if I'm not, I'm so glad you're enjoying this fill! There's so much to come -- it's essentially a two-fold slow-build fill, and I already have the rest of the fic plotted out.
...it's a doozy. I may or may not have made myself cry with a certain scene that I wrote last night.
Thank you so much for reading! I really hope you like what comes next <3

So, are you actually writing smut with Garrus and ghost/spirit/something-in-between Shepard? If so, I'll have to think of a new title for you since "Queen of Shakarian smut" will no longer be adequate.
You know, my awesome beta and I talked about smut and whether or not it fit in this fill, and I'll have to keep talking to them to make sure it doesn't go over-the-top, but yes. Yes, I am writing alien/ghost smut.
And honestly, I should not be so flattered that some of you are calling me the Queen of Shakarian smut! I'm just happy you enjoy my writing and my portrayal of these two. <3
I think you deserve the tittle "queen of Shakarian smut" very much, A!A. And thank you again for filling my prompt, I check up this fic everyday for update, you know?
btw, could you post this fic on ff.net? I really want to put/download it into my collection. :)
A!A here! I'd be happy to post it on ff.net! You can also download it from Ao3, even if you don't have an account on the site. It's under the same name there.
I'll be posting more slowly over there, so the kmeme is still the place to be for the newest material.
And OP, I apologize in advance -- this fic is HUGE. I'd say I've written about a quarter of it, and I'm already 11,000+ words. I love slow builds and I want to spend a lot of time on the romance when it finally arrives. I hope you're enjoying it! I'm loving writing it :)
Don't worry about the fic being huge. In fact, I love long fic! The longer the better (not always but this is not the case for this fic)!
I tried to download fic it from Ao3 once. but it didn't come out the way I like, and I prefer to use my ffdownloader to down from ff.net to have more control over the chapter and other stuff after that. Anyway, thank you for going along with my whiny demands ^^.

They were four months in, and rumors about Archangel outnumbered the known truths, ten to one. The squad kept growing.
Two asari got invites to the squad when Garrus and Vortash found them squaring off against six vorcha. They wanted to fill their maiden days with something more meaningful than dancing in a bar.
âDad was a turian,â said Mierin with a lopsided grin. âWeâve got a soft spot for you guys.â Her sister nodded at her side. âAnd if youâve got a plan to get this place back on its feet, weâre in.â
Arnold Monteague -- who preferred to be known by his last name only and was very emphatic about it -- was a former Alliance medic. Shepard tipped them off about the batarians who were trashing his clinic, but they barely got there in time to pull him and his patients out. Monteague swore too quickly and too often for the non-humansâ translators to handle, but his hands were just as fast, and they were the only things that kept Mierin from bleeding out before they got her back to base

FORESHADOWING. <3
Just saw you post this over on AO3, and my heart is full of fuzzzies. You really have a great handle on characterization and the way each of your players think. Love, love, love this story (and all the others you've written!).

You thought out all the team mates and gave them species and genders! It's the first time I've even seen one of them done as a human female! I love you, A!A!

A!A here!
I've had my headcanon for Archangel's squad for a long time, and this is the perfect opportunity to lavish A LOT of attention on them.
Garrus spent almost two years with these people -- that's almost as much time as he spent with Shepard/the crew(s) of the Normandy. These people were important to him. They were his family.

Squee! I'm so excited! I totally agree with you about his squad. People tend to forget that he spent any time with them at all. It's part of the reason I wholly reject the idea that Garrus went to Omega to die. But that's my own head!canon rambling. I'll just sit back and enjoy your fill, despite the upcoming paaaaiiinn. ;)

I'll always update here first, but it'll get added to regularly on ff.net. I hope you're still enjoying it :)
