"You got everything you want?" Shepard asked, hitching her daughter Elena higher on her hip. Said daughter kept her amber eyes focused firmly on Garrus, thumb in mouth just resting there. Shepard brushed a lock of Elena's dark hair away from her forehead, giving Elena a quick kiss before continuing. "We've stocked up on dextro food, but you might need to head out if there's anything we've missed. Comm's linked up to my account, so is the entertainment system. Try not to go overboard with it." Shepard gave Garrus a quick smile

You're welcome :) I wasn't sure about writing this initially as I lost my cat a year ago (to the day) but this seems to have not been as painful as I thought it might.
