Thank you!

considering how one-sided the 'Special Relationship' has become/is considered to be, it's probably for the best. I do my best.

My favorite interpretation I've seen of this thus far. :D
I have a hard time imagining America having a massive meltdown over this.

Thank you ♥
Sameeee. Even more so when you take into account that America has a bad habit of ignoring this particular alliance until it suits us. OTL indeed.

France called him up the other day, saying something along the lines of Welcome to the 20th century

XD this reminds me of the movie "Sicko" by Michael Moores. I remember some French were interviews and they said their government had to listen to the citizens or they would actually cause riots, not sit around complaining only. France has so many revolutions compare to some countries.

and even Canada sounded a bit smug in his congratulatory email.

Canadians and their inferiority and superiority complexes xDDDDDDDD

I don't doubt it. There was a bit after the main revolution where they just kept switching through regime types for 100 years.

Gotta love them though!

France, like most European countries, switched to a welfare state while in the 20th century. America remained one of the only, if not the only, advanced democracy without at least requiring a basic level of health coverage until this month.
