Summary: Heechul kills Christmas. :D
A/N: I'm getting out for Summer break in a week and a half. Perfect timing, eh?
Heechul had a dream. A dream of what, you might ask?
A dream to get the most amazing Christmas tree there ever was for Super Junior's Christmas this year, deck it out and have the best holiday ever.
His dream has failed. Miserably.
It started earlier this morning, when he set out into the wilderness--Yes, wilderness-- to find a tree. He didn't really think he could use an axe, so he rented a chainsaw. To anyone that knew him, this was a scary thought.
Pushing aside this thought as it crossed his own mind, he looked around, and immediately saw it. It wasn't as huge as he'd really wanted it to be, but there was only so much room in the large house the band shared. He ran to it, lugging the heavy tool with him.
He pulled the cord and went to work. He was making okay progress, but halfway through, the tree lurched, sending a massive flock of birds flying out of the tree's upper branches, throwing it off balance. Heechul threw the chainsaw and attempted to push the tree back up, which, of course, didn't have much effect.
He was stuck. Stuck in the snow underneath a big pine tree. Crap.
Something happened within the hour. Heechul has never loved a lumberjack so much.
He thanked the large man who'd rolled the tree from over him and paid him 23,000 won for saving his life.
He picked up the chainsaw and dragged it back to the hardware store.
When he made it home, he went to the hall closet and sighed as he pulled out the fake Christmas tree. He took it from the box and put it together.
He decorated that tree with all his might, using old and new ornaments and cutting out paper and popping popcorn and untangling colored lights.
He stood looking at his tree, satisfied, after putting the star neatly on the top. Now there was only one thing to do.
"And Siwon's God said, 'Let there be light!'"
He plugged it in.
Oh, there was light, alright.
Heechul ran to the kitchen and grabbed the fire extinguisher, spraying it on the flaming tree and presents, once he figured the nozzle out. He relatively quickly put out the fire. He dropped the fire extinguisher and slumped to the floor.
----
Ryeowook opened the door to Super Junior's house and stepped in, only to look at the pile of charcoal in the black corner of the room and drop the bags he was carrying.
He noticed Heechul on the floor and ran to him. "Heechul hyung, what-- what happened?!"
Heechul jumped and turned around.
"I killed Christmas!" was his response.
"What do you mean you 'killed Christmas?'"
"I tried to get a real Christmas tree, but it tried to kill me so I didn't get it, and then I put our fake one up and it caught on fire, and the presents are burned too! I killed it!" Heechul was now sobbing into Ryeowook's coat.
Ryeowook sweatropped but hugged the crying man anyway.
"Hyung," he said. "Christmas isn't about a tree or presents! It isn't even about music or snow or bells or anything! What it's about," he made Heechul look at him. "Is enjoying the holiday with the people you care about!"
Heechul sniffed and sat up. "You're right...It's just...I wanted it to be special...especially for you maknae...You guys love the lights and stuff so much and I tend not to do a whole lot so I tried really hard. . . "
Ryeowook smiled and hugged Heechul. "And that's what counts, right? Thanks for trying for us."
"So. . . What do we do now?"
"Want to help me make cookies?"
Heechul thought for a second.
"Only if you work the oven."
