Summary: Heechul has a weird (not really -.-') method of eating ice cream.
A/N: From personal experience ^^;
Heechul and Hankyung were listening to music and sitting directly in front of the window-unit air conditioner, enjoying the blast of cold air on this blistering hot day.
"Meomchuji ma i meojin sesange, I'M ALIVE!
Nawa hamke deo DANCING OUT ON THE EDGE~!!" They sang along, hyper and overdoing their enthusiastic hand motions.
"Achim ijjik ireona pamneudorok iraesseo," Hankyung sang the next line.
A bell rang in the distance.
"Shwigo shipeo ji ddae handu beon a...nya...HEY! THAT'S THE ICE CREAM MAN! WE'VE GOTTA GO CATCH IT!" Heechul yelled, jumping up and dragging Hankyung up and out the door with him.
The bell was louder now as the van passed their porch and so they bolted off the steps and down the sidewalk, their bare feet pounding the hot concrete.
"Hey! Stop!" Heechul yelled. He smiled as he saw the brake lights come on and he slowed down when he reached the window. He turned to Hankyung who came up beside him. "What do you want? I'll pay!"
Hankyung smiled and pointed to the item he wanted.
"Okay, one strawberry mango and one blue raspberry cone, please," Heechul ordered as he pulled the money from his pocket. He exchanged the money for the ice cream, thanked the man, handed Hankyung his cone, and they headed quickly back to the house.
Back in front of the air conditioner, they ate their ice cream.
But something was bothering Hankyung.
"Heechul?"
"Mmm?"
"Why are you eating your ice cream cone with a spoon?" he asked
"Um...'Cause...I can't bite it," Heechul said, pulling the spoon out of his mouth.
"You can't?" Hankyung took a bite of his.
"I have sensitive teeth, it hurts to bite cold stuff," Heechul explained.
"Lick it then," the Chinese man said matter-of-factly.
For some reason, Heechul had never thought of that. "But...I like eating it with a spoon..." He frowned.
"You won't have a spoon every time you get an ice cream cone, you know."
"But...I guess you're right..." Heechul raised his eyebrows and shifted his cone to his right hand and licked it. It didn't work as well (at least he didn't think so) as using a spoon, but it did work.
"Why's it such a big deal if I eat it with a spoon when I've got one, though?"
"I don't know, I guess it's just weird. But that's okay!" Hankyung said, patting Heechul on the head.
Heechul smiled and pointed at Hankyung. "You, my friend, have ice cream on your nose."
Hankyung wiped it off and they finished their ice cream.
