I tried to cook for myself the other night and now I really understand why Alfred doesn't like taking any time off. It was a disaster, frankly. I don't understand how I managed to burn something that is based primarily in liquid. I mean, how does one manage to burn soup? Some part of that seems illogical. Also, first degree burns on my hands now;

I have burned chili before, so I feel your pain. And stirring it frequently tends to prevent burnage, for future reference. ;)

I plan to adopt when I'm older and financially stable, so I'm glad you are helping the kids out. =)
