At least you still get yummy bread baking smells. I haven't been baking bread at all lately. My sourdough starter finally died from neglect, though I think they are still maintaining it at Camphill. I got sad when I found my abandoned starter in the back of the fridge. But R is gluten-free now and I have developed a love of sourdough rice bread from Food for Life. If I toast it enough and slather it with raw butter and sea salt, it almost tastes like your sourdough, though nothing will ever be as good as that was.

Sorry I didn't get a birthday card in the mail. Are you 50 now? Happy birthday! So what are the kids up to these days? Do you get out to any musicals? I hope you are doing well.

Yep, 50. No big deal. I worked an overnight shift, then took the boys out to a bookstore for a couple of hours, then came home and had a Byerly's cake with the whole gang ( ... )
