I see your point, but why should the 10% of the students who do give a flying fuck about life have to suffer through no funding? I realize that the county budget is low, but it also doesn't help matters much when the good for nothing principal rapes both magnet programs of their funding for construction projects. New windows on the doors are more important than new books and more art supplies? As of right now, I still want to learn and by the time I graduate on time in May, I'll graduate with 31.5 credits. Why do I still give a shit if I'm a senior? Because unlike some people, I care about people who are getting ripped off.

hey i know the low funding and all sucks i'm not trying to say it doesnt matter at all, i'm just saying to deal with it unless you want to go picket outside of the board of education's offices and try to change it. the only way a school's funding will get better is through the students A) getting better grades and B) being more active in projects and whatnot. looking at it from a purely financial point of view, the board can either spend $150,000 on a school that has a high dropout rate, very low average GPA, tons of FCAT failures, and almost no above average extracurricular programs besides newspaper, or they can spend it on a school with a high GPA avg, very low dropout rate (if any at all so far), low FCAT failure, and newspaper program that's already won a bunch of awards in only 2 years, among other things. looking at it from the board of director's view it makes sense, no matter how shitty it is. people bitch about monarch as much as they do about deerfield, so whatever everyone cant be happy
