It's late. It's my birthday and I have to be at work in 5 and a half hours. Of course factoring in the time I need to get ready and get there I have 4 and a half hours. I'm tired. It is our curse and our burden, those that have scouting in the blood, as some would say it, that we are held to such high standards. I get compared to my parents and my grandparents on almost a weekly basis. Even though my grandparents have been out of active scouting for almost twenty years.

I know where you're coming from, and all we can do is our best.

The difference is that you go out of your way and help others, I doubt the guy next door does that. And if he does, you do it consciencely.

Happy birthday other half!

What I would say at your funeral? Probably that you are/were a life-long Scout. You said it yourself, you're a beaver leader. I really doubt "the guy next door", uses his free time each week to help and educate kids. I think there is no greater cause than helping future generations
