Dinner at Jon's apartment

Lily had said she wanted to learn how to cook, so he'd invited her over to make a Stir Fry. Lily had never used a wok before but took to it rather well. She was really good at making rice but they'd both made kind of a mess making the spring rolls

“I’d suggest we make some, but I think I’ve had enough of kitchens for tonight!” Lily laughed and sat down on the floor near Jonathan's feet. “Thank you, though - I really appreciate you taking the time to teach me a few things.”

"It's not a problem Lily," he tells her smiling, "did you want to sit there? Because the couch is actually large enough for three and I promise I don't bite. Speaking of... have you ever seen Jaws?

"Nope - haven't seen it. I remember when it came out, though - all of my muggle friends talked about it all summer - 1975. 'Bout a shark or something, right?"

Not wanting to seem rude, she pulled herself up onto the couch, but now there was the faint awkwardness of how close to sit without seeming either date-like or afraid of 'cooties.' She settled on the middle cushion, to Jon's left, trying to act normal.

Jonathan brings his feet up to the couch and rests his hands on them.

"It's really neat, made me afraid of the bathtub when I was younger. My grandmother used to have to force me to wash and forget about pools. The sequels sucked though, I mean they were really bad."
