Chapter One Author’s Note: There might be OOC. I’m having a lot of fun writing this. I hope your enjoying it. A lot of the ideas for this fan fiction is from a book, a song, and some Gertrude Hawk chocolate. The book is “The Abducted Alchemist” and the song is Sympathy for the Martyr by Straylight Run. And the type of chocolate is Cinnamon Sugar Cookie Smidgens. Mmmm.
Edward woke up painfully. He had handcuffs on, and a gag in his mouth. And every time he moved a pain went through him. He sat there, looking around carefully.
Blood. That’s all he saw. Crimson blood on the floor, on the walls, on himself. He had no clue what had happened, and he wasn’t sure he wanted to know or not.
Damn it. Maybe this wasn’t the smartest mission to take after all.
Roy sat at his desk, still signing tons of paperwork. He had so many people coming to him, asking questions. They were thinking these terrorists were looking for a war. To wipe out the military. It wouldn’t happen though, of course.
And then there was Edward. Roy couldn’t help to worry about the poor boy. He had sent him on a dangerous mission. But he hadn’t had a choice. Though, he did wish Edward was here, safe within East City.
Or was it more than just wanting him safe? No, couldn’t be. He hadn’t grown a fatherly figure, had he? Of course not.
Then what was this?
“Colonel,” Riza called, knocking him out of though, “here.” She put another pile of paperwork on his desk.
He’d have to answer his own questions later.
Edward heard a door open and saw two guys walk in. They were manly figures, and definitely not here on Ed’s side.
“Hey kid, you finally awake?” one guy said. The other guy gave the other a smirk. Edward glared. Secrets, secrets.
“Well, maybe now we can have a little fun. Don’t worry though, kid, we won’t get too hard on you until you get a little used to it,” the other guy said. The first man grabbed Ed’s collar of his shirt and pulled him to his feet, sending a horrible pain through Ed’s spine. He couldn’t scream though. He didn’t want to. He wasn’t going to.
“Tough guy, eh?” he said, banging Ed roughly into the wall. Edward closed his eyes so hide the slight watering. Sure, it hurt like hell. But he couldn’t let them know that, now, could he?
“Its nice to know you came right here for us. We were worrying that when we’d go and get you, we’d get caught,” he said. Edward opened his eyes, holding in watering now, and glared.
“And now, since we have you, we know that Colonel will come crawling to our feet,” the other man said. Edward still glared angrily, but thoughts ran through his head. Why would the Colonel come and help him? It was the Colonel who had sent him in the first place. And besides, the Colonel didn’t give a fuck about him.
Then another thought came. He wanted the Colonel to come help him, and only him. But why the hell would Edward think that? He pushed away the thought and focused on real life again. He was in a bad situation right now, and its no time to be thinking about that bastard of a Colonel.
So, they wanted the Colonel. It said it on the file, and everything. Edward’s frown turned into a smile and glee filled his eyes. They’d never get the Colonel. Especially if they thought he would come to save him.
Because as he said to himself, the Colonel could knock Edward into the ocean and laugh as Edward drowned.
“Hey kid, you got somethin’ to say?” he yelled at Edward, glaring at Edward’s mischievous look. He took off the gag, anxious to hear what Ed had to say.
All Edward did was laugh. He started laughing so hard. The two guys became angrier and angrier. Ed stopped and caught his breath.
“Wow, you think the Colonel would come after me? He hates me,” Edward snickered. The two guys looked at him for a minute than started laughing themselves. Edward was left against the wall, dumbfounded.
“Kid, don’t you even pay any attention? We’ve been spying on you guys for so long. We can tell he has some sort of good feeling about you!” He snickered. Edward’s smile faded. They were stupider than he thought.
“I guess they are right. Terrorists are ass stupid,” Edward said. The terrorists stopped laughing and smiling, and shook their heads. They knew something that Ed didn’t. And Edward wanted to know.
The man let go of Ed and Ed fell to the ground with a horrible pain. The two laughed.
“See ya later kid, and have fun,” the guy said, and the two men both left.
Edward sighed. He was in a horrible situation.
