going to be a long night

I talked with my Mom today about hospice, it just made it more real that she is dying. She moved to Azle when she moved her to be closer to my brother and his family, then he died a few years ago. My sister-in-law went over the edge and has not been right since, she never visited after. I think I resent him dying and leaving me the only son left to ( Read more... )

FWIW... I remember the walk down the hallway to the hospital room as the surgeon talked to my father (after he'd talked to my mother) that the cancer had spread further. I will always remember that walk, that door, that room, and that hug.

I've now spent almost more of my life without parents than I ever had with them. You surround yourself with people you love and who love you back. There's a few of us out here. It's a hard path.

Great big hug! I am here and willing to listen at anytime. I will keep you in my prayers. The journey is not always easy and the path is not always clear but we all do down the same roads at different times. More hugs!!!
