Ah, life - Rambling update

Well, I'm in intermediate algebra instead of statistics. The class they had me in required more math than I have in my background right now. Glad that got sorted out!

It's been almost 30 years since I last took an algebra class (10th grade?), so I have no shame in saying I received a 67% on the preliminary assessment. Actually, after so long, I ( Read more... )

I hate math with a burning passion, but - it must be done. The imaginary bits drive me crazy. I like things that are real and solid ;)

You should be picky about who you want to be with because you don't want to go thru the same bs you went thru before and even more important is you deserve a great guy who will make you smile, laugh and treat you right. You will find that guy eventually and the wait will be well worth it.

Getting your Bachelors at 46 is awesome so much better than not getting it because your going to be 46. I know a woman who got her Bachelors after her husband passed away, she was in her 60's. You are never too old to better your life.

You're right you deserve to be picky. You deserve the best. And I got a worse score on my math placement exam, and I'd only been away from school for one year at the time!

You might find this resource to be invaluable for math classes:

I am a big fan.

Anyhow, just keep holding out for the right person, they will come along and when it happens it will almost seem like it was planned. Being picky is good.

Haha, I haven't taken a proper math class since 10th grade, and that was honors trig. No more math for me, thank you!

I did take a principles of technology class my senior year in high school, but that had real world applications with things like electric systems and wind and air pressure and such, and a finance class in college. Again, real world applications, not the crap word problems they come up with in algebra!
