luca had gotten tired and gone off to bed a few minutes before, but hadn't been able to sleep at all. in fact, he probably laid there for a little while crying, if the red eyes are anything to go by. ]

[alois is sitting at the table - and then he leans back in his chair, to get a better look over at luca.]

[it's irritated-sounding, but not at luca. never at luca. with his other hand, he touches his brother's hair, keeps him close. there's shifting, too, so that luca can climb up onto the seat if he wants, into alois' lap.]

I'm sure you have a handle on it - you take wonderful care of him from what I have seen. This place has different - stronger - germs than what either of you have been exposed to however, which is my concern. [Completely sincere too - he's worried Luca has influenza.]
