just over 2 hours, it sucks b/c there is no real direct inerstate route there, except if you got 10 to lafayette and then up 49 in lafayette, which is gonna take a little longer, but your best bet *if you don't want to go 10 to 49* is 190 West to 71 N, but honestly, i would just take 10 W to Lafayette then go 49 N to Alexandria -- it is easier than taking some backroads...
