Uh. I love fandom, but there's no question it can get crazy & judgmental fast! That said, the whole point is to display your own interpretation of the original text, and enjoy. Who cares what others think of your works, so long as you have fun?

I say it's always about entertainment first. No one should tell you how to have fun. Or try to prevent you from having fun. I always do things o entertain myself and my friends. If you aim to only please those two groups...Then you never fail or are left out. :)
