Did you never make a treefort? ("treehouse"... pulleeze). Rubberband guns with broken pieces of hockeysticks, a coupla nails and a clothespin? Dam a creek?
I coulda written this book... I made my first pinhole camera to watch an eclipse when I was eight or nine.
I suspect my version might have wound up being more dangerous. I bet this one doesn't cover making flashbombs out of zinc powder and sulfur. Or plastic explosive with melted Kraft caramels and... well, you get the picture.
I've done a few of these, just not all. That and this book is really for Evan in the long run, but since he can't read yet. Well, I don't think he'll mind if I borrow his book.
