to hell with anyone that says you have to use digital. I would like to see the dumbfuck that told you you MUST use digital get the kind of results I get from my 20-50 year old film cameras, that he can get from any digital that cost less than $10,000.

Thats somthing that really bugs me. People that think a canon EOS anything is a profesional camera, it isn't. Its the top end of the consumer crap pile and nothing more. What makes me say that? Well, for the last 100 years or so, hasselblad has been kind of THE name in medium format SLR cameras. Medium format has been for the last 2 decades or so, the choice for the working profesional photographer. The hasselblad digital back by its own cost $25,000. Canon, Nikon, or Pentax will NEVER have products of "profesional" quality.

yeah cameras its nto teh price its the make thats it i mean ive actually taken photos people want to buy from me from a low end camera that fits in your pocket. i actually use a cheap model SLR myself an i mean cheap but hey like i said its jus the make its not the brand that makes it good.its the one holding the camera.:) heck i used to still use the film cameras in fact the only reason i dont right now is cost for film development. well being i dont have the equipment to do it myself. heck my digital i dont even doctor the photo if its got a lil blur thats stays there it gives feeling an life tot the image being so many photos to say seem stiff when you hold a camera to people well most people ( ... )

The brand doesn't matter much either. although there are some you can count on more than others, and most of those you have probably never heard of.

As far as what camera you use. Obviously, i'm not oposed to shooting on some rather cheap (but well built) cameras. I keep looking at the holga 120N, its probably the worst camera ever made, period.

good optics are everything for technical photography, and sometimes, good optics can be had for allot less than you think, so long as you know where to look.

Having a general curiosity of all technology around you doesn't mean you grew up in the wrong age. Me and Kitch play around with steam powered devices. We both can fire a boiler, and run a cyclender, could probably operate a steam loco with some success.

As for 8 track, not horrible tech, far better than cassette
vhs is a waste, the only good vhs deck is a smashed vhs deck
