Overexposed Much? And othe rambles.

Heroes’ Hayden has designed a Dooney and Bourke bag and is featured in their latest catalog. Why? I guess they are courting a younger consumer base, but in the 25 years I have used their bags I have never seen anything so…shameless. I guess I should be glad it wasn’t some chick from High School Musical, but still. For some reason this is just ( Read more... )

I don't normally like Dooney bags, so I guess I'm not as bothered by Hayden designing one.

The Globes should be really interesting. I sort of can't wait to watch the non-show.

I loved Dooney in the 80's and early 90's, but when they started really moving to the younger stuff, I stopped loving them as much. But every once and a while they still make a classic bag I like.

The Globes will be interesting, as will the Oscars.

Well, the PCAs were just cancelled, so the Globes and Oscars will be very interesting.

Especially with them changing the format of the People's Choice Awards...

They are refusing to cross the picket line because the show needs writers to air and since they are supposed to be on strike either writers will break the strike or non union writers will write.

If you are mean, so am I. I thought it was hysterical that it bombed. And it was not very good so it really deserved it.

What's a Dooney and Bourke bag? I am not sure what I will be watching in the New Year yet, although I caught the end of an ad for OTH's premiere and I think it looks pretty... weird, maybe. Is the reason that the late night folks are going back to work so that the rest of their crews, etc. can get paid? I think that's about the only reason that I would think wouldn't be completely horrible, but I also don't watch any of those late night people, so I don't know the difference.

See new post re: D&B. Written just for you!

They are going back to work because the crews are not getting paid. Or because the networks are losing millions of dollars, their ratings are nosediving and their long term contracts and syndication deals are threatened. You decide.

I miss Jon Stewart, and I do enjoy the Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

Will the late night shows really stem the tide of falling revenues? All those new reality shows can't be huge money makers. I used to watch late night TV, but it has definitely been one of the parts of TV that has gone by the wayside as I have gotten older. Which is kind of weird, cuz I don't think those shows are necessarily aimed at the 20 something set, but there it is. Maybe if I lived in the Central time zone and it was all on an hour earlier....

The late night shows do bring in quite a bit of revenue from what I read. They also give their corporate parents synergy with actors and authors hyping their stuff and bringing in more revenue. I wish they had not caved, and I wish I believed it was just because of their crews. But I am an awful grinch who's heart is three sizes too small.

Ah, how wonderful it must be to live in Central time. Late shows are on at 9. Bliss. Of course you actually have to live in the midwest, so that sort of spoils that fantasy!

I'm really glad not to be the only one waiting for OTH to start again...if only because I've seen some of the spoiler pics again and Chad has cleaned up nicely. Yes, CMM is one of my "it's so wrong but I'd still hit that" celebrity.

As for Amy Winehouse...well, pray that she's not in jail or dead by the time the Grammys roll around. I fear for her, even more than I fear for Britney Spears.

As for Hayden being overexposed...she might be, but at least it's not for flashing her crotch or having some suspicious white powder in his left nostril. Well, not yet anyway.

Chad never did it for me, but he is pretty.

I fear for Amy as well. I am very worried that her song I'm no Good will be her epitaph or obituary headline.

And yes, Hayden's overexposure is of the "Who's she sleeping with" not why she didn't wear underwear. We should be grateful, you are correct.
