I just finished watching One Tree Hill and the season is starting out much better than I anticipated. I'm actually going to post my thoughts (and I have many) on the show tomorrow on LJ. In the meantime, though, I did get glimpses of why a) I was willing to jump CMM's bones during Season 1 & part of Season 2 and b) I loved the Peyton/Brooke friendship...you know, when they weren't fighting over Lucas.
I think there must a rule on how much pretty can be on the show at one time. Both Chad & (as much as it pains me to say this) Sophia are looking awesome and having Nathan look hot would be overload or something.
Life was a lot of fun. I love what Damien Lewis (?) is doing with the role and his partner has grown on me as well. But Adam Arkin is my favorite. I am sure that you will get more, you just might have to wait until next season!
Ahem. Yes, even I had to give in to the lack of new programming and see what they were doing on OTH with the fast forward. And, it didn't suck. Although, of course, the contriving to get everyone back in town was what it was. And yes, Peyton and Brooke were good. I didn't watch the whole 2 hours, but I may have to continue to check it out.
As for Life, yes -- they have had a lot of guests that are recognizable, haven't they? I think Leo has been very busy this past year or so. And yeah, Jesse Schram as a brunette was a little weird, but I got her right away. And the twist at the end of the episode got me. I hope I get to see more of the show sometime.
Getting them all back in town was a little contrived, but if they had all ended up at the same college or something without the fast forward, that would have been contrived as well. I like the ff and how it gives them some options. I am just waiting for Daphne Z to embezzle all of Brooke's money.
I liked the twist with Jesse's character. I liked the whole show and the set up, plus I love Adam Arkin's character and how silly he is around Saffron. I look forward to new episodes.
Jon Stewart is so very bitter, so I am getting a lot of the writer's perspective. This thing needs to be settled, the sides are getting really divided.
