Getting back into the swing of things

I think disaster fatigue may be setting in. For the first few days after the quake, we prepared for emergency evacuation-- shoes and jackets by the window, sleeping fully clothed rather than in PJs, harness and leash on the dogs-- in the event of another big quake. I'd heard that the roads were starting to open back up again. That's great news. I hope you're right about the power lines, although it sounds like the Tepco folks will have their hands full trying to get those reactors back under control no matter what happens with the power. The news keeps sounding grimmer and grimmer over here, but then the news does like a good catastrophe.

It does look like you guys are probably pretty safe from whatever might happen with the reactors, again at least from what I've seen over here in the news. But still, that uncertainty can't be fun.

Best of wishes, though to all of you! Glad to hear that things *might* be getting closer to normal.
