All timez local

From Richardson, TX Departure 12 may 05 12:05 am
To Dallas, TX Arrival 12:35 am

Layover 4:25

From Dallas, TX Departure 12 May 05 5:00 am
To Memphis, TN Arrival 4:10 pm

This seems like the leg that'll give me my best bet for sleep. Also, the departure should ensure a less than crowded ride, hopefully. The only problem is the stops on the way in which passengers will get on (but hopefully off as well). Aww, fuck sleep, I don't need that shit. Siddhartha time =D

Layover 4:35

From Memphis, TN Departure 12 May 05 8:45 pm
To Chicago, IL Arrival 6:35 am

This seems to be the best time to sleep, since visiblity for book/gameboy will be low. Either sleep or CD player time.

From Chicago, IL Departure 13 May 05 8:10 am
To Grand Rapids, MI Arrival 2:00 PM

w00t teh home. This leg will probably be spent basking in the thought of being home again. Well, I guess technically I'll be homeless, but home is where my family and friends are, and that is MICHIGAN BITCH.

Okay, its not the most pwnage state ever, but Dan, Jeremiah, Erin, me, Michael, and Steve came from there, or spent much of our lives growing up there. Jon too, he's okay, although his recent LJ sniping seems quite spiteful and in ill spirit.

GG texas, but its MI ftw.

Issues:

I need baggage tags for my baggage prior to leaving, as I'm not sure that they'll be available outside the bus station at midnight. I'm certain eve if I can't get them tagged before getting to Dallas I can do it there, but I should do this to be safe.

I may need to invest in more rechargeable batteries for use during the trip (I was planning on something like this soon anyway)

I need to pack up and send all my shit. Should be teh ease.

Baggage for the bus shall be

1. Duffely sports type bag, checked baggage, filled with essentials I'll need between friday and my stuff getting shipped in.

1. Sleeping bag, also checked baggage, if possible. Last time I couldn't fit it in the overhead or under the seat, so I had to throw it in the back which made me uncomfortable.

1. Good ol' trusty backpack, the one that saw me through years of high school, a year of college, and several half continental trips. The backpack will be stocked with travel necessities such as a 2 liter of Mountain Dew, Skittles, and some type of staple food item I can't decide on (It would have to be small, compact, filling, and able to withstand travel rigors. Suggestions, anyone?)
