I'm staying.

I think I'd have more of an opinion on the situation if it actually still applied to me. I haven't read fic of any kind in I can't tell you how long. These communities being gone, they don't really affect my LJ. -shrug- Although, the first thing I thought when I saw the news was "... OH SHIT, merry_smutmas!"

There's also talks of sponsored+ users to switch back to basic accounts, so LJ no longer gets the support provided from ads on their pages.

I'm staying, but I'm sure as hell not helping them by allowing advertisements to be shown on my journal. Nor will I ever pay for an account again.

My heart goes out to those who were victimized.

A sad world we live in where personal preferences and individuality are targets on people's backs.

Had those journals been used as a way for creeps to, to, I don't even know, to attack children or others, HELL YES, then delete them. But at least give us probable cause. As though they couldn'tve warned us about this.
