True, true.... but if I'm going to succeed stopping, I have to be motivated and really have a set date. That date has always been january 2nd, but I totally know what you mean. Instead I'm trying to smoke about half of what I usually smoke.

Here's an idea: how about trying that cumulatively over time? Cutting in half what you normally smoke for October, then half of that in November, then half of that in December. That way you'll have almost quit by your target date.
Mmm, it's a good idea - but I don't think I can do it. I'm the 'all-or nothing'-type. I think I'll stick to smoking as little as I can until January 2nd - and of course arrange a 'quit-smoking-course'..... it sucks, but I need to motivate myself somehow. Because I have to quit.

I can't quit the BCP, because I have PCOs. I actually have a water cig, but it's not working for me. Instead I have decided to cut down to half of what I usually smoke until January 2nd. 4 months left of smoking.... yikes.
