Managed to get my hands on a ticket for Powderfinger's Sunsets Farewell Tour. Show was fantastic - if I can get a ticket for the October show i'm tempted to go again. I was in GA - standing, which had me worried since i'm 5' 2"and thus can see over barely anything, or more to the point, barely anyone. AAAAAH I was about to go to bed and then you put this up and it's SO AWESOME. I'd forgotten that Powderfinger did that 'everyone stand around the drum kit' thing. When they were at the back stage at Melbourne there was one point where they all seemed to be trying to see how many people could stand on a drum kit at once. And GUH, Darren and Electric Horsemen. And all of it. And while I never thought they'd be the kind of band who suit audio-visual stuff, I really like the semicircle screen they use. I want a DVD of this tour anyway, but the videos they use would be almost enough on their own without it being their last tour ever.

Their October show in Melbourne is sold out but I seriously thought about buying scalped tickets. I would LOVE to go again but I don't know. I have no qualms about going to a show on my own, but I don't like supporting scalpers.

I would love to be front of stage for Powderfinger WITH YOU if I could though. <3 ( ... )

Bed is good.

I adored the whole concert. I'm gnna go for a wander about online and see if I can't find tickets like i did for thursday's show - I found someone who couldn't go and bought their ticket off them for the same price they bought it for. Don't like scalpers either - but Adelaide is sold out too.

Hey, if you can find 'em come to adeliide and see them again!

Hmmm, where'd you find the tickets? I've never gone looking for second-hand tickets before, don't know where I can get them.

I found it on gumtree, which had the added bonus of coming with a phone number attached, so I contacted the seller through there. However, since they were right down south of the city, pick up and payment was too awkward we moved over to ebay and i bought the ticket there. She sent her username and i stalked her page til it came up and bought it straight away, so it was only listed for less than 5 minutes.

I'll see what i can find for the next concert, but it might be a bit early yet.
